What Medicabula does

From your first term to the exam: strictly checked, with a fixed card box, 13 games, a study group and a plan.

Plate 2

As strict as the exam

The exam counts every letter – so does Medicabula. A wrong genitive is wrong; typos are not waved through. In return the app shows you exactly where it went wrong.

Both directions: term → German and German → term.

As it appears in the textbook

os,ossisn.

Genitive
ossis
Gender
neuter
Plural
ossa
Meaning (German)
Knochen

Nicht zu verwechseln mit os, oris n. – Mund.

Plate 3

Flashcard boxes with fixed intervals

You meet new terms by typing them out once. Then they come back – after 1, 3, 7, 14, 30, and 90 days, each box a little later. Wrong means: back to box 1.

  1. Box 11 day
  2. Box 23 days
  3. Box 37 days
  4. Box 414 days
  5. Box 530 days
  6. Box 690 days

Plate 4

Games instead of piles

13 games, all with the terms you have already met – on your own, against the ward-round stations or live in your study group. They never change your learning progress, but they do earn points.

  • Ward round

10 questions, 10 seconds each, question 5 counts double, the final triple. Opponents are 5 stations of a ward round – every win unlocks the next.

  • Tug of war

Every correct meaning pulls the rope towards you – whoever pulls it 6 steps wins. Against the ward round or live in your study group.

  • Form catcher

10 nouns, 3 hearts: genitive and plural fly past – catch the right ones. The nominative and wrong endings are traps.

  • Gap fall

Terms and meanings fall as blocks. When a term lies next to its meaning, both pop – sliding blocks make chains.

  • Word rain

The term is at the bottom, four meanings fall from above – tap the right one before it lands. Every hit makes it rain faster.

  • Crossword

A small puzzle made of your terms, with the meanings as clues – and here too every letter counts.

  • Building blocks

Take clinical terms apart into their building blocks – or put them back together from the meaning.

  • Gender check

Up to 20 nouns: masculine, feminine or neuter – as fast as you can.

  • Memory

Turn over eight pairs of term and meaning – with as few misses as possible.

  • True or false

Does the meaning fit the term? Swipe right for yes, left for no – 20 cards.

  • Letter jumble

Build the term from its letters – that is how the spelling sticks.

  • Bridge building

Every correct meaning is a plank – build the bridge before the water reaches the top.

  • Blitz round

60 seconds, type as many meanings as you can – checked like when learning.

Plate 5

Study group with a weekly high score

Start a group for your semester or class (up to 60 people) and invite with a link. Only those who agree appear in the ranking – with points, never with what someone has learned.

Duels – live or against the ghost

If someone from the group is here right now, challenge each other to a ward round: at the same time, each with their own terms. Nobody here? Play against the ghost – hits and pace from a member’s last round.

Plate 6

With a plan up to the exam

Enter your exam date: Medicabula spreads the new terms so you have met them at least 4 days before, and shows how much is already exam-ready – reviewed correctly twice, box 3 or higher.

Plus reminders on your phone, at your times and at most 2 a day – but only when terms are due today or the daily goal for your exam is still open. In the evening the streak saver checks in if your streak would otherwise break.

Plate 7

Offline, no ads

Medicabula runs in the browser and can be added to your home screen like an app – no app store. Learning works offline too; your progress syncs later. No ads, no tracking, servers in the EU.
